Melanie and Beau are such a fun couple. They are both so talented, very creative and artistic. I really, really loved their idea for their wedding cake, and it turned out even better than I had pictured it in my mind. It really is one of my favorite wedding cakes to date. The cake was square and was covered in white fondant. Melanie wanted the look of gold vines and leaves with deep red roses growing up the sides of the cake. The leaves and fines were painted with an edible shiny gold food coloring and the fondant roses were this beautiful deep/wine red. The final touch was that Melanie and Beau had a special cake topper set to really personalize their cake. Beau is an accomplished musician and they placed a very detailed, beautiful mini grand piano on top. Melanie is a fashion designer, so they also placed a mini dressmakers form next to the grand piano on the top fo the cake. It was such a nice finishing touch to the cake. Unfortunately, we forgot to bring the good camera with us when we delivered the cake and set the topper up, so we didn't get a photo of it with the cake toppers on it, but it was so pretty all set up together. I had a great time working with Melanie and Beau on their wedding cake and wish them an amazingly happy new life together! Congrats to both of them! |
